Student Life
At Christ the King School, student life extends beyond the classroom. From faith-filled service projects and leadership opportunities to clubs, athletics, extra-curriculars, and special events, our students are encouraged to grow as disciples, friends, and lifelong learners. Whether on the field, on stage, or in fellowship, every student finds a place to belong, contribute, and shine.
Opportunities
Spring Musical
Students in grades 5-8 are invited to audition each year for our spring musical held in May.
Cougar Chorus
Students in grades 4-8 are invited and encouraged to participate in our student choir led by Mrs. Linda Younkin. Information about how to join will be emailed to students each year.
MORE@CTK
MORE@CTK is our faith and leadership group that is open to students in grades 6-8.
What does MORE stand for?
M – Made for More
O – Open to God’s Call
R – Rooted in Christ
E – Empowered to Serve
Through prayer, conversation, fellowship, and service, our students will explore who God is calling them to be—now and in the future. Through service projects, prayer experiences, and fellowship activities, students are empowered to live their faith boldly, lead by example, and make a positive impact in our school and beyond.
Golf League
This is open to students in grades 3-8. Sessions are offered in the fall and spring. More information about Golf League will be sent home with students in the Fall.
Scholastic Bowl
Students in 5th - 8th grade may join our Scholastic Bowl Team.
Scholastic Bowl is an Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) activity in which students compete with other schools, testing their knowledge in many areas including academic, sports, current events, general knowledge as well as their ability to think quickly and answer questions under pressure.
