Thank you so much for your interest in Christ the King School. As the school principal, and instructional leader, I believe Christ the King School is the best place for educating students in the area. Christ the King School, in partnership with families, empowers children in their Catholic faith journey to promote academic excellence and life-long service. Our students strive, thrive and serve in our caring, compassionate, Catholic culture where learning never ends.
Our school is over fifty years old and we educate children from preschool through grade eight. Students have the benefit of an effective academic model of excellence that merges and adapts our Illinois Common Core State Standards into the Mission of our Catholic Church. Academic rigor is commonplace in our school, as we teach and test skills that matter most, as defined by research, while weaving creativity and innovation into our new curriculum. Teachers of our school enjoy professional development and enjoy Professional Learning Communities. Our teachers use assessment as an instructional tool to adjust and drive their instruction to influence cognitive development beyond our students’ ceiling of knowledge. We enjoy a collaborative culture within our Christ the King community based on relational trust. Our school will cultivate your child’s intellectual curiosity and inspire learning.
I hope you will agree with our love of learning, making Christ the King School the Catholic school of choice for students, faculty, staff, and our community. Christ the King School is dedicated to helping its students develop a life-long personal relationship with Our Lord and His Church.
