The Programming Club helps students learn to program by creating their own computer games. The oldest students are encouraged to build their own Raspberry Pi computers and learn Java and the fundamentals of languages. Students in 5th and 6th grades use Scratch, a language created by M.I.T., to invent games and use animation techniques.
The club also examines various computer-related topics, such as hardware, analytical skills, and usability.
The club is open to all students in grades 6 through 8.
