WELCOME TO THIRD GRADE

Welcome to Mrs. Hall Third Grade Class.  We started off the year with some rather warm days.  We are all looking forward to a great fall season.

We just started reading our first novel in class, Skinnybones.   We will attempt to read several novels this year, in addition to working in our Reading series.

In Math we will learn how to count money, regrouping with addition and subtraction, estimating, and later this year we will start multiplication.

We will study communities in Social Studies.  We now are learning about geography and communities.

In Science we just finished a unit on Plants. Our next unit in Science will be on Types of Animals. The students will do several projects this year in Science. 

In Religion this year we will work to understand what we believe as Christians and how to live out those beliefs.  Please remember we have a Religion test every week.  We will alternate with one week a take-home test and the other week an in class test.
